We have received the following request for information and hereby respond following:
(1) QUESTION. “If we were to do a joint venture (since we do not do appraisals), does the other company also need to sign up in Marketplace?â€
AGENCY RESPONSE. The pricing for Appraisal Services is separated by Lot from Market Study you CAN both sign up and put in your pricing independently. This approach does pose a risk that only one firm in your joint venture “team†is awarded. If you would like to be considered as a “team†and awarded as such, it would advantageous to have one of your firms take the lead and enter pricing for both firms in both Lot #1 and Lot #2. The lead firm would also need to present a unified hardcopy proposal. If your team is top-rated, there would be a single contract signed with the lead firm as well. So, in this scenario the description of your team would be considered more like a contractor/subcontractor relationship.
