PLEASE NOTE: As long as you are registered for this RFP, you will continue to receive these notices. If you plan to not respond to this RFP with a proposal submittal, you may want to access the eProcurement Marketplace and mark "No Bid". Once you have done such, you will not continue to receive any notices pertaining to this RFP.
(1) QUESTION. The RFP is asking for agencies to quote your group for health insurance. Since your group does not renew until 7/1, carriers will not give us a quote with an effective date of 7/1 until 90 days from your Renewal date (at the earliest). Some carriers will also request a copy of your Renewal, which you probably won't receive until close to 60 days out from your renewal date of 7/1. Thus, no agency will be able to provide applicable quotes for your group until closer to your renewal next year.
AGENCY RESPONSE. We need more time to consider all the ramifications of the above-noted comments. Accordingly, as shown following, we have extended this RFP to beyond the upcoming holiday season to all us to do so.
(2) EXTENSION OF DEADLINES.
(2a) The Deadline to Ask Questions if hereby extended until 3:00 PM CT on Monday, January 28, 2020; and
(2b) The Deadline to Submit Proposals is hereby extended until 3:00 PM CT on Wednesday, February 5, 2020.
(2c) These extensions of the noted deadlines will give us time to carefully consider what we are going to do pertaining to this RFP; accordingly, this RFP is effectively “on hold†for several months. We will keep you informed as any future changes to this situation.
