Minneapolis Public Housing Authority (MPHA) received the following question from potential proposers. Below each question is MPHA’s response.
1. QUESTION. How many meetings per year will the hired consultant be expected to attend? Is the meeting schedule for 2020 available? If so, can you please provide it?
MPHA’S RESPONSE. There are typically four meetings per year, but that can vary based on circumstances. The meetings are currently scheduled each quarter based on the availability of committee members. The 2020 schedule has not been established yet.
2. QUESTION. Can you please advise if the W/MBE participation goals provided in Attachment C are required (or optional) to meet? Is your current consultant meeting the W/MBE goals provided?
MPHA’S RESPONSE. MPHA includes its W/MBE and Section 3 contracting goals with all of its solicitations and we understand that subcontracting may not always be the most applicable for particular projects. Your firm will not be disqualified if you are not able to subcontract with a W/MBE or Section 3 business. If that is the case, MPHA would like the proposer to detail any potential future efforts they can make to help MPHA with these goals. MPHA’s current contractor has complied with the applicable equal opportunity and affirmative action laws, directives and regulations.
3. QUESTION. Would MPHA prefer we submit our proposal through the Housing Agency Marketplace AND by sending a print copy to MPHA’s Procurement Department?
MPHA’S RESPONSE. No, MPHA does not have a preference and you do not need to submit both an electronic and hard-copy proposal; one or the other is fine.
Thank you for your interest in this RFP and in doing business with our agency. We look forward to receiving a proposal from your firm.
