PLEASE NOTE: As long as you are registered for this INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB) you will continue to receive these notices. If you do not plan to respond to this IFB with a bid submittal, you may want to access the Internet System and mark "No Bid." Once you have done such, you will not continue to receive any notices pertaining to this IFB.
(1) CLARIFICATION FOR - McCown and Annex Properties:
AGENCY RESPONSE:
• The new flooring will extend into the closets and bathrooms. Toilets will be removed prior to contractor beginning work by Sarasota Housing Authority (Agency) staff and reinstalled by Agency staff once contractor completes the flooring and baseboard installation.
• The metal track for the closet doors will be installed by Agency after contractor completes the flooring and baseboard installation.
• If the unit entrance doors need to be trimmed at the bottom due to the new flooring, notify the Agency Maintenance Manager promptly so the door can be trimmed before close of business.
• Many interior walls are made of concrete block, please plan accordingly for this type of installation. The Agency’s preferred installation method for this is for the contractor to use a LOCTITE Power Grab/Instant Grab or equal type product. We have found a t-nail causes too much damage to the baseboard.
(2) CLARIFICATION FOR - Bertha Mitchell Property:
AGENCY RESPONSE:
• The new flooring will extend into the closets. Bathrooms are ceramic tile and not included in this scope.
• All interior doors will be removed prior to contractor beginning work by Agency staff and reinstalled by Agency staff once contractor completes the flooring and baseboard installation.
• All interior walls are made of concrete block, please plan accordingly for this type of installation. The Agency’s preferred installation method for this type of installation is for the contractor to use a LOCTITE Power Grab/Instant Grab or equal type product.
(3) QUESTION: Do you want pricing submitted in square footage per unit or lump sum per unit?
AGENCY RESPONSE: Pricing should be lump sum per unit.
(4) QUESTION: I don't see an area to enter pricing on line.
AGENCY RESPONSE: I checked the system and see the pricing items so I’m not sure why you’re not able to see them, unless perhaps you haven’t viewed the initial addendum that was posted. If you have any difficulty accessing the system online please contact Customer Support: 1-866-526-9266.
(5) GAUGE LEVEL OF INTEREST: So that we can gauge the level of interest in this IFB, if you have not previously done so, please indicate, where provided within the Internet system, as to whether or not (i.e. "Will Submit" or "No Bid") you anticipate delivering to us a bid submittal in response to this IFB.
