We received the following requests for information and hereby respond to each:
(1) QUESTION. What is the anticipated start date for this project? Given the potential for liquidated damages, I want to be sure upon bidding the project we are sure what are the tentative dates to have a fully executed contract, start the project, and be substantially completed.
MPHA RESPONSE. The MPHA anticipates the project starting within two weeks of the Contractor receiving the fully executed contract. The MPHA anticipates awarding the project and issuing a contract as quickly as possible, likely within 5 days of the quote due date. The MPHA anticipates the project being completed within 4 weeks. The MPHA Project Manager and Contractor will determine a firm schedule prior to any work starting. Per Section 2.2.7 of the QSP document, the liquidated damages in no event shall be construed to be a penalty, but only as damages fixed and agreed upon in advance.
