PLEASE NOTE: As long as you are registered for this IFB, you will continue to receive these notices. If you plan to not respond to this IFB with a bid submittal, you may want to access the eProcurement Marketplace and mark "No Bid". Once you have done such, you will not continue to receive any notices pertaining to this IFB.

We have received the following requests for information and hereby respond to each:

(1) QUESTION. During the Pre-Bid meeting on 10/22/2018 the warranty for completed work was brought up and was to be. Please confirm the agency warranty requirement for completed work.

AGENCY RESPONSE: The warranty for the completed product is 2 years for material and 2 years for workmanship.

(2) QUESTION. Can the agency put in writing how the warranty on materials and workmanship will be determined?


AGENCY RESPONSE: The warranty for the completed product is 2 years for material and 2 years for workmanship.

(3) QUESTION. How will it be determined if the resident caused the damage or if it is a defect with the cabinet(s) or poor workmanship.

AGENCY RESPONSE: It is easy to determine defective material, poor workmanship and willful damages by the tenant. The Architect/Engineer, the THA staff in consultation with the contractor will make such determination.


(4) QUESTION. Addenda 3 PART 3 - EXECUTION Page 6 C. Installation: 7. Replace outlets, switches, plastic covers, and GFCI up to code as per city codes, regulations, and specifications. Are the existing kitchens presently wired for GFCI?

AGENCY RESPONSE: Not sure if all existing kitchen has GFCI. Provide a Unit Cost for replacing or installing a kitchen outlet GFCI should, should one not be available.


(5) QUESTION. Addenda 3 PART 3 - EXECUTION Page 6 C. Installation:9. Install existing vent pipe in accordance to manufacturer's instructions. Is this statement referring to the range hood vent pipe or flue pipe? Does this existing pipe go thru the roof?
AGENCY RESPONSE: All existing kitchen hoods have wood vent pipe that goes thru the roof.


(6) QUESTION. If the scope of work intent is to remove and reinstall the existing range hood, would the range hood not be disconnected and reconnected to the existing flue pipe?

AGENCY RESPONSE: In the process of removing existing cabinets and installing new cabinets, it is likely that the range hoods would be disconnected and reconnected to the existing vent pipe, unless damaged in that case, a replacement would be re-installed.
