Minneapolis Public Housing Authority (MPHA) held a non-mandatory pre-bid conference on Thursday, May 9, 2019. MPHA received the following questions from potential bidders during the conference. Below each question is MPHA’s response.
1. QUESTION. Will this contract allow for price increases?
MPHA’S RESPONSE. Yes. As detailed in Section 5.5 of the IFB document, the successful bidder will be able to request an increase in their fees at the end of the first one-year contract period (and at the end of any ensuing extended contract period).
2. QUESTION. How is the work coordinated if the tenant is not home?
MPHA’ S RESPONSE. MPHA staff will let the contractor into the unit as necessary.
3. QUESTION. Will the vendor ever have to board up windows?
MPHA’S RESPONSE. No. MPHA does that work internally.
4. QUESTION. Do we have to have an insurance certificate for each site or just one certificate for all of MPHA?
MPHA’S RESPONSE. The successful bidder will only need to provide one certificate listing MPHA as an additional insured as detailed in Section 5.3 of the IFB document.
Thank you for your interest in doing business with MPHA. We look forward to receiving a bid from your firm.
