We received the following questions and hereby respond:
(1) Question. Will space be provided to the contractor for materials storage and a dumpster?
MPHA Response. Materials can be stored inside of the first-floor community room but at the risk of the contractor. MPHA recommends blocking off a section of the community room. A storage container and dumpster can be stored onsite in the grassy area on the side of the building. Any grass that is damaged from the containers will be repaired at the expense of the contractor.
(2) Question. Will the contractor be responsible for protecting the elevator cabs?
MPHA Response. MPHA staff will provide and hang protective elevator pads that will remain up for the duration of the project. The contractor should use caution and care in the elevators to ensure the cabs, including the floors, are not damaged.
(3) Question. Will this project be communicated to tenants? If so, how?
MPHA Response. Tenants will be notified via flyer explaining the project scope and approximate timeline. Tenants can also reach out to Property Management for more details if needed.
(4) Question. Is door signage included in this project?
MPHA Response. Yes, all door signage should be replaced.
(5) Question. How many doors are being replaced?
MPHA Response. There will be 24 stairwell doors, 11 trash room doors and 1 elevator equipment room door that will be replaced, totaling 36 doors.
Thank you for your interest in doing business with MPHA. We look forward to receiving a bid from your firm.
