PLEASE NOTE: As long as you are registered for this IFB you will continue to receive these notices. If you plan to not respond to this IFB with a bid submittal, you may want to access the eProcurement Marketplace and mark "No Bid." Once you have done such, you will not continue to receive any notices pertaining to this IFB.
We have received the following request for information and hereby respond following:
(1) QUESTION. “Is the elevator contractor responsible for providing a construction dumpster? 2.2.6.4”
AGENCY RESPONSE. Yes. The elevator contractor is responsible for disposing of their debris. This can be handled by either providing a dumpster onsite, or a vehicle that can accomplish this.
(2) QUESTION. “Is the elevator contractor required to provide temporary toilets? 2.2.21”
AGENCY RESPONSE. Yes.
(3) QUESTION. “The contract notes that all work must be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days. (2.2.22) Is the 180 days from receipt of notice to proceed? We didn’t have the opportunity to discuss this at the pre-bid meeting, but can the 4-6 months from receipt of notice to proceed to final completion be revised?
AGENCY RESPONSE. Yes, the 180 days is from receipt of notice to proceed. There was a brief discussion about the concern of providing a completed project within this timeframe. Yes, the notice to proceed can be revised to a date that is satisfactory with PHA and the elevator contractor.
(4) QUESTION. “The specifications note that a $15,000 per elevator allowance shall be carried. Do we need to include this amount in our bid price?”
AGENCY RESPONSE. Elevator contractor shall include the indicated Allowance in the bid, to be billed against on a time and materials basis.
(5) QUESTION. “The specifications do not mention the elevator controllers. Are the controllers meant to be part of this work?
AGENCY RESPONSE. Yes. Please see the controller specifications, attached hereto.
