PLEASE NOTE: As long as you are registered for this INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB) you will continue to receive these notices. If you do not plan to respond to this IFB with a bid submittal, you may want to access the Internet System and mark "No Bid." Once you have done such, you will not continue to receive any notices pertaining to this IFB.

(1) QUESTION: Attachment A Form of Bid Reflects (IFB) No. 2018-B01, Bertha Mitchell Exterior Stucco Paint & Exhaust Fans? Is this an incorrect Form of Bid?
AGENCY RESPONSE: The details in the form are correct. The header is not correct. A revised form is attached to this addendum. Please disregard the previous version.

(2) QUESTION: What does symbol R 11 represent on the Civil Drawings?
AGENCY RESPONSE: R 11 is a stop sign. The drawing cover (09.1-AttachmentH-1(Site Imprvmt Plan Specs-Drawings)-Revised Cover) is revised and attached to show the symbol in the legend.

(3) QUESTION: On sheet A-105 a note calls for epoxy dowels into existing slab at 24" O C for breezeway slab. Is the intent 24" O C each way for the complete existing slab surface?
AGENCY RESPONSE: No, not each way. Install as indicated on the plans and details.

(4) QUESTION: Have these drawings been submitted and/or reviewed by the Building Department?
AGENCY RESPONSE: No. The building department only wants to review once the plans are submitted for permitting.

(5) QUESTION: Please provide the specification sheets for the fans to be provided by the owner.
AGENCY RESPONSE: The fans are to be provided by the contractor per detail 3/A801. Specifications (09.2-AttachmentH-2(McCown Annex HVAC Unit Repairs Plans and Specs)-Revised) are revised and attached to show fans provided by contractor and NOT by owner.

(6) QUESTION: The drawings direct for the owner provided fans to be "wired to the nearest circuit" and "wire fan to nearest branch circuit" makes sense but then sheet A 801 Division 26 ELECTRICAL Note 2 states the electrical contractor will provide a complete workable and code approved power distribution system. If the electrical contractor is only wiring the owner provided fans to the nearest branch circuit why should the electrician be responsible for the complete existing electrical system being in accordance with today's code?
AGENCY RESPONSE: The intent of note 2 is that any electrical work or modifications must be in accordance with applicable codes. We are not expecting the contractor to be responsible for the existing building wide electrical system that is not part of wiring the fan.

(7) QUESTION: The authority is requesting 2 Firm Fixed Fee Proposals with one being for McCown Parking Lot-ADA Upgrades and the second Proposal for the McCown Annex HVAC Unit Repair. Is it the intention to award the project to the lowest General Contractor's combined price or award each portion of the work to the lowest bidder thereby possibly awarding each project to a different contractor? If we are bidding what could be 2 different projects we would be required to include separate General Conditions for each project.
AGENCY RESPONSE: The project will be awarded to the lowest combined price.

(8) QUESTION: Which of the 2 projects should we include the deduct alternate in?
AGENCY RESPONSE: The deductive alternate is for the parking lot project so it applies to that. There are no deducts for the Paint and AC project.

(9) CLARIFICATION: Question 13 of Addendum #2 listed the manufacturer and numbers for Frigidaire model numbers (Wall Sleeve Frigidaire Insulated Wall Sleeve – Mfg# 5304514426, Frigidaire Stamped Aluminum Rear Grille Mfg# 5304480557). Please note the “or equal” notation - i.e. comparable items: Amana Wall Sleeve: WS900SC; (or equal) and Amana Architectural Grille: PGK01TB; (or equal). The agency would like to upgrade the grille to an architectural grille, not a stamped grille.

GAUGE LEVEL OF INTEREST: So that we can gauge the level of interest in this IFB, if you have not previously done so, please indicate, where provided within the Internet system, as to whether or not (i.e. "Will Submit" or "No Bid") you anticipate delivering to us a bid submittal in response to this IFB.
